I think 10pts is a bit too much, possibly 5 points?
But I think a better idea is to award 5 points to your own tally if you vote?

I agree 10 point deduction just because you dont vote is crazy, the thing is nobody can force you to submit a picture, but you are forced to vote for a picture if you submit a picture or face losing 10 points, the competiton was meant to be fun, forcing someone to vote does not seem like fun to me.Voting should voluntary, not forced.

Woah Rick, not so fast, I'm in favour of a penalty of some sort

I feel it's taking a bit of a liberty to enter a competition and expect folk to vote for you when you're not prepared to vote for them. Maybe scrap the 10point deduction and just make the photo ineligible if the person has not submitted any votes

I tend to agree with this. Yes its just for fun, but surely as a minimum if you enter a photo you should vote?

Hmm.. I agree 10 points is a lot. But some months we've had 40-odd photos and only 20ish votes, so lets think of something then, Im open to suggestions...

Im going to keep the rules the same as last year. No deductions for not voting if you entered. As Gammy says, it's just for fun and I have decided that its going to be too much hassel to control it, so if it aint broke...

I think Johnny Corbett should apply for the adjudicators job at Eurovision this year.

Any photo with an 85 years old on a summit deserves first, second and third prize.electricfly wrote:I think Johnny Corbett should apply for the adjudicators job at Eurovision this year.

Well that's ok then.

I didn't want to sway anyone's voting but the person climbing in my picture is, believe it or not 149!...
