Not No. 4! Are you going to go higher or lower?

No. 5 it is, near the point where Ledge Route heads off right.
I think the hut is just out of sight to the left.

Ah so it is. I managed to blank that from memory when descending in climbing shoes after doing centurion.

Mind you all grade 1 gullies look like that in summer.

I'm not surprised! It is pretty horrible. Next time I do Ledge Route in summer I will do the alternative start that traverses in higher up. .

Cheers jmarkb, great photo, holds snow in there for a long time. I recognised the rocks at the top left of your pic, always reminds me of a duckling.
Anyone know where this is?

I'm guessing a golf course somewhere out west. Tobermory?

I have to give you that rohan, because I would have been happy if someone said the sound of mull, though it's not Tobermory golf course.
I might take up golf when I'm old enough :D
It's not far along the road from Tobermory, near Glengorm Castle. It's a great viewpoint. You probably knew this but if not, Askival is the pointy hill in the far distance. :D Your go :D

Thanks you are very generous., I though it had a manicured look of a golf course and when looking at likely west coast golf courses, figured that it was Askival in the distance and could possibly be Tobermory. I've not been that way for 15 years and am unlikely ever to take up golf despite being plenty old enough!
Staying with the coastal theme, where is this popular beach?
