Yeah, I knew this would go quickly. Less known side of BD (the NW ridge).

Back to you :D

Less known, but done by us two days after the trip in the previous post from me, so in my mind when you picked it!

Where were we walking?

No, though in a straight line its not very far to get there. However by road alone, it is impossible.

Is it Sgurr an Eilein Ghuibhais (east of Mallaig) from the road west of Inverie on Knoydart?

Pretty much the perfect answer!

We were walking over to the fabulous Road's End Cafe, which we were using as a base for a day's canoeing. Half squeezed in the truck, half of us walked. Sadly closed now, we had one of the most wonderful meals I've ever had there, before 11 of us squeezed into a 7-seater to get back. I sat on the transmission tunnel, backwards. A heavy night in the Old Forge followed. Good times.

Over to you

Thanks, Mal. I've not been that far along that road, but would like to return to Knoydart sometime in the not too distant future.

Where are we standing?

That's right - and a fine viewpoint it is too. A hill with a high reward : effort ratio.

Your shot.

Cheers. Basically trawled the maps looking for the coastline shape.

No fooling you by having the distant Torridon hills slightly blurred!

Thanks Mal! Are there not easier ways to get a canoe onto Loch Maree?
