Is that on the way to Pen y Fan from Blaen y Glynn, between the Ponticill and Tal y Bont reservoirs, the memorial referenced being that to Tommy Jones?

Close enough I think! It's actually the Caerfanell valley on the way up to Waun Rydd, which the popular path from Blaen y Glynn overlooks. There is a Canadian war memorial below the summit.

Wrong in most respects, but close enough! I'll take that. :crazy:

Afraid not, but not too far away. The pic of the second hill is not the view you would have from the ascent from tge first hill.

The initial hill in question is probably one of the most mispronounced of all the Welsh Hewitts. A double struggle with double consonants for native English speakers. :lol:
(Translates as Black Hill btw)

A close resemblance! - but not there.

The hill is a very well-known one, but from an angle that may be unfamiliar to most walkers.
