Are cliffs allowed?

Here's someone I met in Malta, at least.
Meet Cliff. Cliff Face . . . .

Here's one my sister and I were snickering at, when we walked up Sgurr Fiona, An Teallach.

Nice, Mal, paddled the Tarn in a kayak. Don't know the Alllier but, looks like a lucky escape! Aiming for the Orb this year.

The Allier is highly recommended, particularly Chapeauroux to Pont D'Alleyras (G2-3), which is basically 12 miles of continuous fun whitewater paddling in a massive gorge. But watch out for boulders, as Mark found out. We never got the canoe off, despite rigging pulleys, had to abandon. Took 12 people later and 2 pulley systems. If you're interested; http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/ ... ght=allier.

Not done the Orb.

Trying to think of boulders from my non-paddling trips, I do like a nice lump of rock. Will have a search properly at some point...

Cheers, enjoyed the account of the trip. Canoe back on the water yet?

Think the Orb is mostly fairly tame but there's a stretch known as "Adrenaline" which appeals and can be done as a part of a longer paddle, which I can do in a day while down that way in July.

Na, sadly the recovery has been fraught with problems, and the chap rebuilding it can't get it nearly straight. Probably gonna prove to be a write off. Mark's over it now!

Orb does sound good.
