Name that Corrie!

BP, I am assuming you took the picture on your recent expedition over Garbh Bheinn. Your madness report. The tracks are madness too but of a different sort. I think they started the desecration about four years ago. We went back three years ago and were horrified. We must, unfortunately, steel ourselves for more of this. I think the same is happening in Glen Etive :(

No guesses yet so here are a couple of clues.

The hill in the photo is a Munro.

The photo was taken from the slopes of another Munro, near the bealach which separates the two hills.

The corrie shares its name with the Munro I’m standing on.

Thanks Tim.

In the picture below, what is the name of the corrie just visible on the left of the mountain in the background?

Clue: The hill above the corrie is a Munro, not usually approached from the valley where the photo was taken from.

Clue: The Munro summit is not the Marilyn summit for this hill. The Munro summit is not the highest point. The highest point was re-assigned in 2014.

Close enough. It is Coire Loch nam Breac Dearga. As you say, the photo was taken from Scardroy.

Bizarrely, the SMC do not seem to have recognised the re-determination of the highest point of Maoile Lunndaidh. :-?

Your go.

I’m on a popular path which soon splits, the left hand one leading to the bealach in the photo. The right hand branch of the path, which can also be seen, leads to a Munro. The route can be extended to take in a second, higher Munro.

At the foot of this corrie is a former very small example of its kind!

Not there - but a couple of words of your answer are in the name of one of the hills in the photo...
