Yes that's it. :D

I hardly recognised it in its liquid state - I've only ever seen it frozen solid!

Loch Leven near Ballachulish, with Garbh Bheinn ( the Ardgour one) in the background?

Yes, bit of a cheat as it's where Lochs Leven and Linnhe join up, with those spectacular views over sea and mountain and down to the Firth of Lorn, named after one of the sons of Somerled, Lord of the Isles. His other sons were Leod, progenitor of the Clan MacLeod, Donald, progenitor of the Clan MacDonald, and Fergus who died young and did not start a clan. Lorn also died too young to start a clan, and instead got the Firth of Lorn named after him, and a flat sausage...

Thanks! I was once with a friend in Ullapool and he said “Can we pop in that shop? Alex Ferguson asked me to buy some Lorn Sausage for him while I’m up here.”
“Who?”
“He’s a football manager. He lives next door to my sister in Cheshire, and he misses Lorn Sausage. Surprised you’ve not heard of him.”

What is this loch?

No guesses yet so here’s a clue - the same view, but with a monument

Right - how about this one.
More of a lochan rather than a loch

A little clue....

I am walking off a Munro and heading towards its top.

Eyeing up that lochan as a possible wild camp spot rather than my planned one a few miles further on and down near to a much bigger loch.

The Munro I'm descending is often climbed as a time-pressured group of three.

Although on this occasion I had walked in from the south over a Corbett.

Would never have got it without all the clues. :D
Though I remember that wee loch well.
I was looking down seeing strange things floating about in it, all over it. After zooming in with the camera realised it was deer, most wading but some jumping about and some swimming - it was a scorcher of a day. 8)
Cooling off

Cheers, here's another loch. :D
