Name that Loch!

New pic for whoever wants to put one up.
Any guesses? I'll give the answer when I get home.

Just my opinion, but I don't see the sense in putting time limits on each photo.

If people are taking the effort to select a picture, upload it to a hosting site and then link the image, it all becomes quite pointless if they are required to announce the answer the next day.

Surely it makes more sense and would involve more members if clues were given rather than just "no takers? Here's the answer".

No probs :)

I just didn't want to take too long on a picture and hold up other people's pictures. I'd reckon choosing a picture that's not too easy and not too hard is an ideal one.

For example, if someone were to take a really obscure picture of a loch that practically no-one's been to, it can become frustrating for - someone like me, for example - who hasn't been to Glencoe even, let alone the Outer Hebrides.

Yet, if clues were to be given too quickly, it would be too easy and not so much of an achievement to someone who can Name the Loch, just by looking at it.

Perhaps we could do a clue scenario, after the 24 hours?

If you think that's more reasonable, I'd be keen to give a clue just now, for the last picture.

Clue is: "Further East than Loch Avon, suggested by Kev Russ".

A clue every 24hrs sounds a fair compromise and 24hrs to post a photo if its your turn also seams a fair amount of time. Loch Builg?

Thanks for your thoughts Sunset.
The thread was hardly set in stone from origin but more an opportunity to share photos of lochs with people and make some kind of game of it, at the same time.
I thought the 24 hour rule would give most people a chance to participate, as people have busy lives but I'd guess many would manage to dip in to the site at least once a day.
I just didn't want one photo to go on for ages and ages but rather see many examples of lochs/corries.
Personally, I think giving guesses after the 1st 24 hour period would work and I would do my best to answer as many guesses as possible, until the correct answer were given, so as not to drag the thing on for too long.
As I wrote previously, if you give a loch so obscure, it could take a fair length of time.
I don't want to rip all the fun out of what might be there already, so I'll carry on with the clues for now

Sadly, it is not Loch Builg but that is East of Loch Avon and it's closer to the loch in question. :)
Loch Builg is actually somewhere I've always fancied of walking to. Maybe one day, I'll go have a look.
I'm actually surprised no-one's got it. Malky, Electricfly and Rockhopper have gotten so many right. Lots of exposure to Scotland's scenery it seems :D
It will be interesting to see if someone gets it soon, as it is not an obscure/out of the way loch.

Next clue: Head South :D

Please, by all means have another guess.

I'm sorry if anyone has been perturbed by the way I chose to set this thread, up until this point. Hopefully, this is a more-preferable method.

Sorry guys, it's not those two.
Don't have the time to give a clue just now, as I'm at work.
Will give another clue shortly, if no-one's got it by then :)
