I've had extraordinary luck with the light the last few weeks. Anne and I had a week of almost perfect weather in Torridon towards the end of Sept. It's probably the only time i've ever felt a bit "meh" about leaving somewhere to go to Skye

Thanks Mike. Your image was class mate. I see you're a Sony user. I recently picked up an Alpha6000 for use on the hills. The DSLR is a massive pain to haul up there. They're brilliant wee bits of kit.

Cheers mate. I was lucky with the weather that day too! Yeh I just picked it up a few months back, it was just the phone before that so it's all new to me! Dean has got me started and shown me the ropes a bit. It's good though, goes hand in hand with the walking really . I'd imagine dragging up that piece of kit would become a pain so the compacts are ideal

They're brilliant. I took the CSC up Slioch. The weight saving was very noticeable, and the image quality not far behind that of my DSLR. The last big walk i took the DSLR on was probably the eastern Fannichs, that was hell
