Been dreadfully thick on this. Should have had it in one.

Correct Charles, I didn't want to have to start posting clues relating to PW's wedding to CM.....use there has entirely put me off having it played at my funeral.

I can understand that. Took myself away that day to the Glyders to avoid all the stuff and nonsense, there were hundreds of others there who seemed of the same mind!
Better choice could be My heart's in the Highlands as realised by Arvo Part.

FC received a promotional boost from TH.

A clue then.

FM could be relevant in two senses.

You need to find the opening here, again in two senses.

Before I trawl through all the churches in Scotland, is C a church and M a minister that have been given a boost by some celeb?

Not a church nor a minister. Beware, F could be considered a legendary cool character. :D

Fingal' s Cave. FM is Felix Mendelson but I don't know who gave it a boost. Unless it is just The Hebrides OVERTURE.

Correct. The musical composition was in fact named The Hebrides (TH) by Mendelssohn and is in the form of a concert overture. It was inspired by his viewing of Fingal's Cave on a visit to Staffa.

My little bit of fun was a reference to Fionn mac Cumhaill (Fingal, Finn macCool) and the silent movie cartoon character Felix the Cat, both of whom could be said to be "cool".

I'll get back in my box now. Your go.

I didn't get the Felix the Cat reference though had a snoop around Finn McCool. Nor did I realise that the OVERTURE bit didn't get into the name. Oh well, live and hope to learn rather than forget instantly.

Here is my rather pedestrian attempt
