Valleyfield Church and Kirkcaldy (Free) Church both looked like ordinary private houses from the outside?

Not there, Sgurr, and you're not looking for Churches, however, and I think by chance, you have started to solve this one. Hold onto Valleyfield....

Kinneill Colliery was linked with Valleyfield Colliery by a tunnel under the Forth.


(Had to hold onto Valleyfield as the only other place names in Scotland beginning with V are in Orkney or Shetland...so after that it would have been Victoria something, and there are so many of those).

Well done. Yes, that's the answer, as far as I know that was the only working tunnel under the Forth. - Talking of places starting with V, there is also the lovely Loch Valley, which I'm sure you 'enjoyed' walking past on your excursions to the Dungeon Hills!
