Thanks Charles, I don't think you are ever lazy, but thanks for the clues. Try this one:

FSB associated with WOW.

Let's just get Forth side barracks and Fife Secret Bunker out of the way, since I don't know what their WOW factor is.

Yes, Sgurr, FSB is neither Forth side barracks or Fife Secret Bunker, in fact it is just the opposite of a secret bunker, being very prominent.

Fairisle South Beacon. I know it's probably not, but just wanted to test the water for beacons

Not Fairisle South Beacon, a long way south. WOW was last of its type to open, and one of the last to close.

Is it Five Sisters Bing(s) and Westfield Oil Works?

Yes Charles, That's the one, Five Sisters Bing and Westwood Oil Works. (not Westfield, which is another place in West Lothian).

Good for you Charles, I was still floundering around in the wilderness trying to eliminate any possible Worlds of Whisky and something something Brewery.

Thanks Tinto. Took some figuring out. I had a vague memory of oil shale working and kerosene production which led to oil works and it all fell into place after that. I too, Sgurr, went on many wild goose chases before the penny dropped.

Now, TNC is the last place you might wish to have found yourself.

There's more than one of these and the initials are for the gaelic name. The one I have in mind is in Argyll and Bute and is not somewhere you would wish to be hanging around.

You could say it would be a doleful experience (that's a clue).

More help then, but you will have to do a bit of work.

The baronial rights which gave rise to this place were removed in 1747 by the Heritable Jurisdictions (Scotland) Act 1746.

Need to get this over with. The English initials would HotG and it's near Dalmally.

Not that I know where it is, but based on the English initials I'd have to guess Tom na Croiche?
