He wins the hand of the Princess gem-de- lovely. My next rescus hen is going to be called that, I have decided.

I wouldn't have got it without your last clue. I had never heard of it but it is a great tale with many elements found in other folk tales/legends. Princess gem-de-lovely wouldn't be out of place as a pantomiine character. I also fancy Assipattle and Sickersnapper as hens names. Thank-you.

The Quiraing has lots of Pinnacle Rocks.

Quartzite painted pebbles (rocks) are found throughout northern Scotland.

I'm looking for something more specific There is mention of other sites nearby for this but it is also obvious when you are walking on Quinag, particularly on the SE slopes of Spidean Coinich. I have used the common name rather than the scientific name which begins with S
