Can I have a 'P' please Bob - Scotland

I need to put this one out of its misery. Buff Hardy, Stephen Robinson and George Donald were the three members of comedy trio Scotland The What.

Anyone may now chip in.

OH dear. Must admit I gave up on this one as was away walking in the Lakes. CharlesT said on another thread that he has opted out of this one permanently. Will be away again soon, so maybe someone else would like a go.

With a few months of dark winter nights ahead, I thought I would resurrect this brain teaser thread.

WC and BC are two of a kind but both could be seen as W or B....

Trying to drag me out retirement eh?

White Caterthun and Brown Caterthun are both hillforts near Brechin, which may be seen as white or brown, or as walls or banks.

It worked didn't it?, and you are correct but I was more thinking of seasonal variations. They both looked (mainly) brown on Friday (albeit the white, lichen covered upper wall of the White Caterhun visible as a ring on the top) but with snow not far away I was reminded that they can both look white at times.

Over to you.

Thanks, I puzzled over the B and W only enough to propose an unsatisfactory answer.

The MR purportedly held some of SC and was once thought to be the B of SC, though this is now doubted by scholars.

More than a little help then. Adding a "t" to the "S" should lead you to the answer.

Mael Ruba no, St Columba yes and I am looking for the B too, which getting the MR will help with.

Mael Ruba was certainly a Brother, being a monk, he was not Columba's brother either and B is not brother.

MR is the main thing I am looking for, though empty now it initially was not.
