Burns calls it 'Kirk Alloway' in the poem - "Kirk Alloway was drawing nigh", a bit of poetic word-play.
The Railway Bridge was the bridge over the A8 at Bargeddie. It had an advertising hoarding for Cutty Sark whisky for many years, and will no doubt be known as the Cutty Sark bridge for many more years.
