Brilliant...but wrong. Maybe I should tell you that when I said rockhopper was in the right( large) ballpark I meant that his answer was in the political sphere, as is the correct answer. Just not that bit of the political sphere.

Oh good, I can stop looking at routes for the No 2 bus, footballers with the no 2 jersey and novels that feature a house/building with the number 2. I couldn't sleep last night so that kept me entertained but I am away for a good coastal walk now.

Thanks, Tinto. I had a mind that it was an entrance of some sort but credit then goes to Mr (or Mrs) Google.
Sgurr's recent clue is the inspiration for this one.
No. 1 was home to JE but more recently, in a sense, No. 2 housed JE
