Afraid not and you still only have one word correct. Not as big as those you suggest, but too big for you or I to shoulder, (that's a clue).

(My coffee break is now over and I'm back to refurbishing my en-suite shower room, so will be back later).

Is it the Dripping Cave Stone? Maybe not, as maybe you fancy your chances of lifting it.....I don't (Elsewhere called the Dropping Cave)

Yes, well done!  I couldn't lift it either now. Impressive lift - it looks rather heavy. Your go.

SACD terrified the wits out of me as a child.

I have visions of you attempting to lift a basin and pedestal with one hand....just get someone in to do your en-suite Charles: when one is over 50 there are certain things one needs to delegate. After years of tinkering with the kitchen, husband said we could have a new one when the washing machine died. Alas, it was Swedish and lasted from 1986 ALMOST TO THE PRESENT DAY. New kitchen last autumn.

Oh no! It keeps me out of mischief and the brain active. Already finished the rip-out and prep, tiles arrive tomorrow and fittings etc on Thursday. Good winter occupation when I can't do much in the garden and the days are still too short to make a trip north worthwhile. Already fully re-done an upstairs cloakroom this winter. Hope your kitchen is to your liking, mine was even older before it was replaced three years ago.

I'll be back with a thought later.

I'm so entertained with your duopoly here. I'm learning that there is so much I don't know although I had thought Celtic Connections but thought it too obvious so didn't jump in. This stone got me squirming. He lifted it wearing trainers...I thought there was a high possibility of crushed tootsies. Keep up the entertainment and apologies for adding nothing.

St Andrew's Castle Dungeon?

Brilliant......but wrong, sorry. Dungeon is so cruel, it makes my stomach turn. However, a castle does have the advantage of getting people interested in history. 20 years later the orange-shorts guy got a first in history at St. A's Uni.

I suppose someone has to suggest Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Somebody does, and is correct. Was convinced that the speckled band was sliding through in the bedroom shadows of the first post WW2 boarding house we stayed in. And as for the hound of the Baskervilles     around every lane corner.

The Hound of the Baskervilles did for me too, though nowhere near as terrifying as my Gael mum when she was cross.

G consorted with the passed in GH and is immortalised in M.

Thanks Charles, I was a bit lucky with this one, by coincidence we lunched at the eponymously named Goblin Ha' Hotel in Gifford on Saturday, and while I knew a little about Yester Castle and Sir Hugo's necromancy, I did a little more digging into the history after we got home. :D

Now try a bit more recent history: There are TT at LB.

The only village I can find in Scotland that is an LB is Lower Breakish, and can't find any TTs there. Not Tom Tits? So probably isn't a village.
