Photo Competition #50 — February 2016

Photo Competition #50 — February 2016

Rules.png

This month’s competition is for photos taken between
1st to 29th of February 2016

    This Year's Winners
  • January - “View of Creise & the milkyway, Glencoe” by xpfloyd

It seems very fitting that for our half century of competitions we should find ourselves in a leap month, giving everybody one extra day to take that winning photograph :) I expect a very high standard this month. I'm not entering :)

I'm slightly early posting this, but I have a very hard and busy day tomorrow and I'm going for an early night. If you're out taking photos of the stars, or the alien invasion, they're still eligible provided they're taken before midnight

Please Note: If you wish to make any additional comments or inform of an error made to your entry, please use either the Photo Competition Comments thread or PM me.

Something a bit different this month, the weather at its angriest during Storm Imogen, off Shoreham, Sussex.

Seeing the Sgor Gaoith photo above I thought I'd post mine from a couple of weeks later. It was a similar photo that made me make one of my now rare visits to the hills. Taken on 28th February with a Canon D6 with minor exposure and levels adjustments.

Video from Iain Cameron (for it was his drone) now on YouTube over here.
