Another Mystery Hill

Another Mystery Hill

Postby john » Thu Dec 28, 2017 1:33 pm

As I still work my way through my collection of unidentified hills that I have crossed in my life, I have another that I need help with.

I originally thought this might be the Pirnmill hills that include Beinn Bharainn on Arran, but having checked some images online, that does not seem to be the case.

So, any ideas, peoples?

Thanks for that.

Good grief! Two years on and this old thing comes back to life.

Glad you liked the view.

Many thanks for the comment. It is a scan of an old photo taken in the early nineties. Hence the poor quality, but it is a good reminder for me of those great days. Sadly, I no longer manage to clamber up the Munros. But I do still have my memories - which as I get older, get more nostalgic.

Always enjoy every minute you spend on the mountains. They will always be there, but there may come the day when you can no longer reach them. ;)

If you download a thingy called Picassa Photo Editor ( https://picasa.en.softonic.com/download ) you can jazz up those scanned old pics, giving them new zest and colour, with some good effects too. This can also help turn boring digital photos into more interesting images.

Thanks, I'll have a look at the software. Hopefully it works for scans of old film photographs.
