Does anyone know what this rubber mat is for? Saw 3 on Carn Chuinneag walk. Approx. size 18" x 18" and secured with plastic pegs.

Interesting to see that it is currently out of stock, so to judge by what people looked at next, they are having to make their own with black and white kitchen tiles....not nearly as satisfactory.
