Wow, some amazing images. Interested in where some of the Norwegian ones are; Lofoten and Lyngen seem likely candidates, and I think I also see Romsdal/Troll Wall.

Lofoten and Senja with some Faroe Islands thrown in. Never been to Lyngen but have looked into it.

Nothing on this thread for a few days so here are a few more of my favourites

Ben Nevis range and Meall na Teanga from Sron a'Choire Ghairbh

Ladhar Bheinn, Rum (to its left) and Skye from Sgurr nan Eugallt

Some have mentioned on here how they like smaller less epic scenes too. Here's a couple of my favourites

River Falloch, near the track above the new hydro building

And even smaller - this tiny miniature landscape was in the ravine below the Glen Etive road bridge over the River Coupall

Some of the most memorable views aren't necessarily from the peaks...

One I'd forgotten about. The spine of the High Atlas including M'goun, from the Jbel Saghro about 40 miles away, in November 2008.

Great photo HMHT. About 10 years ago, maybe longer I was up there on a cracking day. I think it was december. Here's a photo from near the same place but not as clear as yours.

cheers sunset tripper - and a brilliant photo! - I love the effect of the light.

I think the Loch Lochy hills are really well placed for wide panoramas.

Here's a few more bits and bobs I've come across in my old photos.

Ben Cruachan hills from Beinn a'Chochuill

I reckon we have missed out on one of the best ice climbing seasons in recent years this March and April; great weather - sunny days and cold nights giving a good freeze/thaw cycle, and long periods without lousy wind and rain. It put me in mind of ice climbing views. But then summer has its own positives, such as long days in the far north, the simmerdim in Shetland with those wide sweeping landscapes and skyscapes...

I don't look enough on these threads! Working wonders for procrastination though, this morning.
Here's that view, JKLL, from our wander up there last May. This pic is so favourite, it's 3' long on the bathroom wall, for when Arran's out of view in haar. [Click for bigger view.]

Mind you, other favourite mountain views that stay in my head are smaller, like this joyous froglet encounter on a Ben More Assynt south tops wander when the cloud was down.

I'm glad this thread got resurrected, as I can add a few from trips since the first lock down when I started it.

Best probably has to be that from A'Mhaighdean, after climbing the NW ridge
