I thought someone would have got this, as it is about an event which has taken place very recently and hit all the headlines.

Regional list... Greens but I can't get anything else as I'm swaying about on a bus to Inverness. I switched off for most of the election as I knew what I was going to vote and sent off my postal vote early.

Ok, I'll give it you as you were so generous with the viaducts. . The Regional list ballot is peach in Scotland. They don't have regionals list ballots for the UK parliament. Are you swaying towards another part of your adventure? If so, you could donate your turn.

Still on the bus, so if this doesn't go by the time I step off the bus at 14.50 someone else take over. I think you were way more generous than me!

First clue (because I'm bored sitting on the bus). They have unusual tastes

I had forsworn this quiz but can't resist one I can answer without any research.

Everything went past so quickly while I was swimming.

Is it anything to do with Mona Lisa and Her Cairn Terrier?

I'm afraid not and I had never heard of that. And I don't think the Mona Lisa was ever anything other than the epitome of modesty.
Neither is a person, though you could be forgiven for thinking the fomer might be.

Tut tut, a Cairn Terrier and a Scottish Terrier are two different things! :-D

Is the T for treasure? Something that's been dug up? (Different dug from terriers...)

No, nothing to do with treasure, but some digging would have been required to progress from the former to the latter.

BTW I am fully conversant with the difference between Scottish and Cairn terriers, my middle daughter having three of the former and my fondly remembered soulmate being of the latter persuasion.

The site of a monument commemorating a decisive event in Scottish history is near by.

ML isn't a Latin numerals is it? The only thing I can find for this date (AD) is that Macbeth went on a pilgrimage to Rome, which doesn't fit in with your other initials.
