I don't seem to be getting notifications when a new post on this thread is posted. Checked that I have ticked the right box and I have so I am just testing again before I contact Paul. It appears to be working elsewhere on WH. Will now think about Tim's new puzzle. I'm sure I know the answer... but nothing is coming to me at the moment.

I am getting notifications...just not ideas, and still don't have much time so have transferred my affections temporarily to WORDLE and NUMBRD

I received this notification so fingers crossed it will now work again. I don't have time or at least I have plenty of time but too much to fill it. I do like WORDLE as an early morning brain exercise but I left the number one behind, tried the French Wordle (they use proper nouns as well) spent a day on the gaelic version and then got hooked on learning Polish via duolingo so as you can see I can procrastinate like an expert. Then there is the Private Eye crossword puzzle, Meanwhile all those jobs I am meant to be doing don't get done.

This is the first scottish born Muslim woman to make the Haj to Mecca

She is Lady Evelyn Cobbold of Glen Carron who took the name Zainab Cobbold,

For completeness she was born Lady Evelyn Murray and your photos are of her, Mecca and the UK muslim converts who made the pilgrimage to her grave in Glen carron

Thanks Tim,
I recognised Mecca but have been short of news recently. The relevant item was quickly found on the BBC News website as I figured it was about a female convert. Fascinating.

I should be painting (bit of a FB job) but instead followed up on something I read recently to come up with this

L.S and A.M were the first of their kind
L.B. (or just plain B), S (or B) and E(or T) W, were the first of their kind
F.W. is the fastest of all kinds.

Is it this? - in 1911 two men, Leslie Shabolt and Alastair McLaren, made the first full traverse of the Cuillin ridge. In 1928 three women, Lilian Bray, Sarah (known as Biddy) Wells and her sister Emily (known as Trilby) Wells made the first all-female traverse. In 2013 Finlay Wild broke his own record to make the fastest traverse.
