ABC is frequently ,mixed up with his non Scottish namesake ABC even though one is an A, and the other (non Scots) is an A

The A at the front of the ABCs is not a given name in each case.

No, they are two different As, the BCs are what leads to them being confused.

No, you are not wrong. This is what I had in mind, after discovering that I actually have to pay money if I want to see Scottish actor Cox's much lauded performance in Succession. Has anyone seen it?

Must admit being surprised, I'd spent time looking fruitlessly for Admirals, Archbishops, Abbotts etc before having my lateral thought which produced the answer. Haven't heard of "Succession" let alone seen it, but I'm not a drama person, unless it's earlier than the 19th century.

The CT or CDT was the largest of its kind.

Caledonian Distillery Tower was the tallest tower in Victorian times, remaining one of the tallest (built) structures in Scotland with just the Forth Bridge (overtaking it in 1890), The Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing being taller

It is a chimney, though, not a tower so obviously not the answer.

Quite correct, it's not the answer.

The T in this case has a different pronunciation and meaning to the same word in England, though this second meaning and pronunciation would be understood and in use in Scotland.

It was also known as the MM and was not without its unruly elements, some of whom may have ended up at the KGo'C.
