Nothing ventured nothing gained. You've caught a big one. This should lead you to the rest and what they are.

Think I'll hand over to someone else now, as I have neither the maps nor the willpower to go any further.

Maps are very much part of this puzzle. Unfortunately without a map you will not be able to see what is at Saxa Vord. My weakness on rainy winter days, is pouring over maps and planning trips (most of which never happen) usually courtesy of WH GPS tool,

Whilst I love a lighthouse on this occasion it is not them. You have, however solved the easiest geographical location and with the information Charles provided may take you what I am looking for.

Radar Stations?

Second guess, suspecting your interests are they all SSSIs?

PS I’ve just had a quick look on the map and the most westerly trig appears to be on Heisker, west of North Uist, and the most easterly at Bearhill, west of Black Stones. The Galloway (most southerly) one is at Inshanks Fell. Saxa Vord is the most northerly one.

No to first guess, there is more at Saxa Vord than a RAF station (or a spacecentre)

No to second guess but one is a World Heritage Site.

Yes, shamelessly based on your last puzzle

Most northerly TP Saxavord a couple of miles SE of Out Stack ,
Most Southerly Inshanks a few miles NW of the Mull of Galloway
Most Westerly St Kilda, on Hirta a lot of miles east of Rockall
Most Easterly Out Skerries on Bruray (so would have accepted that as its name) less than a mile west of Bound Skerry

Well done and over to you,

Thanks - very generous of you, as I got a couple of the locations wrong! And others contributed to the solution too.

Respect the power of the EET! Or you might end up dead.

“Respect the power of the EET! Or you might end up dead.“

I’ve paraphrased this statement as a cunning ruse to prevent easy Googling of the answer. The subject of this puzzle was rare at the time this statement was made - but has now become common - there are estimated to be around 25 million in the UK.

Both the statement and the EET itself were the work of AAMM. Here's picture clues.

The Eclipse Electric Toaster. Invented by Alan McMasters

A woman in Guildford left it unattended and burned to death, whereupon McMaster said she was to blame for 'not holding appropriate respect for the power of the electric toaster' .

The same goes for light bulbs. R elevated his reclining chair and didn't realise the reading lamp had thereby formed far too close a relationship and was quietly burning its way through the (thankfully) retardant foam.

I just realised I set almost exactly the same question back in April and yet it didn't register! Sgurr got to it first, she also got it back then.
