That’s very generous, as I would not have got Roderick Ross in a million years. My line of thinking was people who had been on This Is Your Life…

This’ll probably go quickly anyway… MK contributed to LH

Yes, Roderick Ross and William Merrilees were both Chief Constables in Edinburgh, also both worked as chief constables to the age of 70, which seems pretty remarkable these days when most Police seem to want to retire as soon as possible (50 or 55?).

Correct - Glasgow-born Knopfler contributed to a film that celebrated a much smaller community. Over to you!

Greencastle adjoins Portknockie (IP) and the North Sea. (Just a fishing expedition)

Nope, nothing more caught. Still just two words correct.

A notable feat took place at G in the nineteenth century. It was only surpassed relatively recently, by a group of people in Madagascar.

Gayfield adjoins Pleasureland, IP (?possibly the Ice Park???) and the North Sea. The feat was the highest scoring Scottish football match (Arbroath vs. Bon Accord)which was outdone by a higher scoring one in Madagascar.

Correct!
Arbroath's 36-0 win over Bon Accord stood as the world record until 2002 when AS Adema beat SO l'Emyrne 149-0. It appears that Adema's goals were all deliberate own goals by SO in some sort of protest!
The Red Lichties' home is Gayfield, adjoining Pleasureland, Inchcape Park and the North Sea
Your go!

I don't know but if it is another football question, I'm away to the hills. Even the midges and cleggs are preferable to wall to wall football.

It is not another football question. I still remember Ally's army when daughter and I had to escape to the hills to avoid all the male angst.
