Roderick Ross CVO CBE KPM (24 May 1865 – 6 March 1943) was Chief Constable of Edinburgh City Police from 1900 to 1935. So they had being Chief Constable in common. He had previously been Chief Constable in Margate Better to give it to 1/2M 1/2T as he really cracked it.

Yes, Roderick Ross and William Merrilees were both Chief Constables in Edinburgh, also both worked as chief constables to the age of 70, which seems pretty remarkable these days when most Police seem to want to retire as soon as possible (50 or 55?).

Arbroath's 36-0 win over Bon Accord stood as the world record until 2002 when AS Adema beat SO l'Emyrne 149-0. It appears that Adema's goals were all deliberate own goals by SO in some sort of protest!
