You would feel really satisfied if you had been to any of the four.

Are you talking about award winning fish bars and ice cream parlours?

I'm not sure of your original subjects but presumeably you would be quicker going to Crail or Anstruther Fish Bar.

You are right in general. and in particular the the Anstruther Fish Bar. Our local eaterie is C*****, and you are right that they are award winning. But what are they? And why is it chillier at one?

I'm close to Sgurr in geographical terms but I'm baffled. TOTG is 'something of the something', no?

So was I (baffled that is) but I think I have it. Fry Magazine's ,Best chippies in Scotland , Dunkeld Fish Bar and best mobile chip shop Tony's On the Go , Coabridge, The latter being outside and therefore chillier

Also Cromar's is the St Andrew's one that is handy for Sgurr. They were winners in 2016 and 2018. Thank-you Ms Google.

Of course!

Thanks, I was a bit slow getting the answer as I did think it was Fish Bar related but Dr Google was directing me to other competitions and the info didn't match until I re-arranged the key words. We have 2 award winning chippies in Stonehaven but as far as I am aware neither has won the The Fry Magazine award.

You will defnitely feel the chill at this time of year at the following but what are they and what is significant about them.

SV (or just plain S) on U and 3 ish miles south east of OS, I on RoG and 4 ish miles north west of MoG, SK on H, 165 miles east of R and OS (but I’ll accept B or BW) on B, 1 ish miles west of BS.

Going on the chill bit without any matching of initials so far. Are they abandoned settlements?

No, although in some respects they maybe considered to have been left behind.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. You've caught a big one. This should lead you to the rest and what they are.

Think I'll hand over to someone else now, as I have neither the maps nor the willpower to go any further.
