Must be the school that they both went to, Prince Philip loved Gordonstoun and Prince Charles hated it.

Correct rohan, but it isn't a "who" it is a Scottish "what", which PC hated. Tinto has it. Over to you.

Credit to Rohan for putting the answer into my head, but I don't seem to know much about the obscure posers used recently so I will take the crumbs when they come my way.

Why is S0 unique? Or is it?

Scottish Opera is unique in that it has a Young Company that fosters younger singers....but whoops, it isn't unique as the Royal Opera House has one too.

No, not Scottish Opera, you'll need to decide if it is SO or S0 ...

Sulphur zero Scotland has a different target date to get sulphur emissions to zero, namely 2045 not 2050

What a wonderfully inventive suggestion, Sgurr, unfortunately incorrect. You might see this S0...

Have taken the S to be a dollars sign. And after some random googling dish up these findings from the Daily Express(boo),. Brent Crude, (Scotland's Oil) was in real trouble last year as US crude dropped to zero dollars. It is hopefully unique, or we will be in BIG TROUBLE if we become independent. BTW, you will be interested to know that Amazon is now convinced I REALLY want to buy "The Scotch Gam".

Nothing to do with dollars. Strangely, if you are searching the internet you might need to go to Wales!

Lenticular galaxies, designated S0 were discovered by the Sottish astronomer James Dunlop??? Worried that I can't find a Welsh connection.

Possibly because he discovered them from an observatory in New South Wales?

Wonderful suggestions, I wish it was lenticular galaxies, but it isn't; a lot more mundane.
If you see S0, you might also see E's LP.
