Well done HMHT. i also had thought SIr William Arrol at one point and was also looking for vessels beginning with L (and had thought possibly a "Leviathan") but could not find anything. I was obviously looking in all the wrong places. That kept us going RICHARDCFF!

Hibs...better for Alex (McLeish) than it was for Hugh(Shaw)

I have hundreds more of these...all likely wrong.

I can highly recommend Macsween's vegetarian (also vegan) haggis. As a vegetarian who doesn't like meat or fish particularly, I am not interested in mock meat things. I did like haggis though and find the Macsween's an excellent substitute.

It’s not football related - my sports knowledge is dismal!

Can you do all your list at once and the rest of us can vote on the one we like best.

Meanwhile Haddock better for Arbroath (smokies) than for Hamilton

    Think we need a slight clue from 1/2M1/2T to narrow it down a bit. My sports knowledge is also dismal, but husband is a great source

Hydrogen better for Airship R34 (departing East Fortune airfield for the US in 1919 ) than the Hidenberg? I take it that is a hydrogen bus, those balloons are hydrogen and the first is where the doomed Hindenberg crashed to earth. Not sure who the statue is.

The completed phrase would “Hydrogen - better for Aberdeen than for Hindenburg?”

Aberdeen is in the process of rolling out the world’s first operational double decker hydrogen buses. The pictures show the Hindenburg crash site in New Jersey; Henry Cavendish, discoverer of hydrogen; a statue at Aberdeen Uni; and the first operational bus.

Over to you!

Thanks another generous give!, I have never noticed that statue and I didn't realise that Aberdeen was the first with hydrogen buses but knew they were on the cards. Maybe I'll get to go on one if we ever get out of lockdown! While I work out a poser here is a photo (by him) of my brother's model of the Scottish Maid for you to admire!
