Hi Paul/Helen,
Stage 1 of the above described route refers to a wooden footbridge. It points out that: 'This is currently down and the burn must be forded.' That was certainly true. Please be advised however that a new replacement footbridge has been constructed and is now available for public use. As per the following photo, it is adjacent to the older redundant one. (The photo was taken last Thursday and handrails have now been added to more-or-less complete it.) It's a solid piece of work and was done by the estate owner himself. Bumped into him today. He only asks -and it's the usual disclaimer- that walkers be aware they use the bridge at their own risk. Always found the folk at Baddinsgill very welcoming to hillwalkers. Might be worth updating that route section when you have a minute. Cheers.
