Adam Watsons "Placenames of Upper Deeside" book has been available since 1984 and clearly states that Beinn Iutharn Mhòr is not the correct name for this mountain.
Watsons extensive and detailed research remains unrivalled and corrects hundreds of OS placenames on Deeside , most of these are sadly still wrong.
Its clear that Walkhighlands have simply used OS names without doing any research into them , as well as ignoring Deeside Gaelic pronounciation for many of the Cairngorm hills.
The owners of this website would be advised to invest in a copy of Adam Watsons book and start giving hillwalkers correct information.
