A late report form a week in the hills.
We had a poor week of weather with most of the time spent in the clouds. The day before this we had an exercise in navigation in thick cloud on Gael-charn and A'Mharconaich.
We were promised a good day by MWIS and we got one. We started at the layby and made our way across the tracks and up the glen.
It took a while finding a suitable crossing point across Allt Coire Dhomhain but eventually across and angled across the hill to start to the top with views opening all around.
Up to a small cairn as the corrie came in view.
From the summit there were great views over to Ben Alder, the Lawers range, Schiehallion and over the Cairngorms.
We stopped for a brew and some food at the col enjoying the views then onto Beinn Udlamain.
Off the summit and onto the slopes back down to Coire Dhomhain.
A good day with views for the only time in the week.
