Had 2 maps and routes ready Chris's car messed up so that meant no Stob Gabhar pair, ( was looking forward to going over this again, ).
So the back up of The Culter fell curcuit it was then. Had a look at someone else's round of 5 Donalds and 3 tops. I cut this back to just the 4 plus 2 tops.
1st one parked up and away I went about 20 to 8. Up Fell Shin and on past the cairn to the trig. I'd turned back the last time up here in the snow as I couldn't see much and there wasn't much point going on.
Today was different. I was up above the cloud's already and almost had a nice brocken spectre.
Those on the Munro's and higher tops today must have had fantastic cloud inversions
From here it was back down and into the cloud for a while. No real views for a bit. I thought about sacking the outlying tops but thought again. There wasn't a lot of ascent/time/ distance added on for them.
There's a huge winfarm behind me here. The track leads down and round and up. And then its break off again and head over the wee bump of Dod Hill up to Hudderstone Hill - unmarked apart this wee stick- and the view over to Culter fell
A good circuit today- didn't see a souil for almost 6 hours. Got back to the car though and there must have been 30 cars dotted about- so there must have been a few visiting Culter fell or the reservoirs or behind me on the circuit somewhere
