Glen Affric is lovely and the big mountains above it to the north looked great from Toll Creagan last year, so I had always fancied going back. It was a lovely day.

and about half way along the loch we turned up the glen. This is a long path, although never very steep, we had been walking for a few hours before passing a ruin in a beautiful situation and then began to see Mam Sodhal ahead

Up the allt coire leachavie
Stopped at lunch at the head of the corrie in a very remote place, but we did get overtaken here by another couple who were making their way up

It had already been a fairly long hot day and the very steep climb down from sgurr nan Lapach was very hard on the knees, followed by a bit of a bog fest to reach the path, then down the track to the loch side and then walking a few km back to the car, quite tiring! But really enjoyed this, what a feel of remoteness as we walked and walked without seeing another soul, heaven!
