A weekend at Dalmally had been the plan. The eastern two the first day and the western ones on the Sunday.
The first two were achieved but a new harness on Skye had given her chaffing under both front legs so it was an early bath.
Got to the car parking area and left at 1340hrs. Quick left at the pine trees through the gate and followed the track. Past a lot of highland cows en route, all very passive thankfully.
The final part of the track where it turns right is then marked by a small cairn where to head off up to the ridge.
A decent enough faint path leads you up to the ridge proper where it splits. Left take you towards the first summit after one final climb. It was very blustery atop so left the bergen wedged between some rocks for the final section of ascent.
Retrace you’re steps then to where you joined the ridge and continue following the path which loses a fair bit in height to the beleach between both mountains.
After that it is 200 odd metres climb back up to the summit of the second munro.
The descent off that is very steep on the final section before you meet the same track you follow in.
Back to the van and met with a whimper and a help from Skye. Subsequently realised her harness had been rubbing. £97 vet bill this morning and the weekend curtailed early but made up to see no lasting injury or illness. That was the best result of the weekend.
