4 of us did this walk. Myself, my 8 yr old daughter Lorna, my friend Tracy and her 21yr old daughter Shelley. The weather was wet with heavy showers and heavy drizzle.
We couldn’t see where the path rose up to the caves from the near side so we walked right along and came up on the far side. It wasn’t an easy walk. Very rocky path Right from the start. Lots of mud and gutters. It may be more enjoyable in better weather.
I didn’t realise the caves were up such a steep incline and it does seem very precarious but nice once you’re up there. There were 3 parts of the path on the steep hillside where the path is slipping away so lots of care to be taken. Not easy letting other people pass or over take us. Lorna was pretty scared on the walk down. She was crying at one point. This wasn’t the most enjoyable walk I’ve had but I am glad I did it.
We watched and listened to one stags on the other side.
