After Ben Lawers with T and the sore limbs aftermath, I decided that my regular jaunts up Bishop were not quite as preparing me as well as I hoped for future munro expeditions with him so I decided to take the steep route up Bishop. I had done this a few times in the past but not recently. Well it is a work out for someone like me.

Once there I decided to try a different route back to Portmoak. So having spec'ed out a possible route looking down from Bishop I decided to give it a cog and try and follow the supposed path along the field boundaries to Glenlomond and hey it worked.

The only downside was at NT169045 where there is a sign that indicates a path to Easter Balgeddie. I ventured alomg thing this would mean less time walking along the main road. Only problem was it petered out in a yard with a large new barn and no obvious sign of where to go next. So retraced my steps and wnet through Wester Balgeddie and along the main road instead. Stopped at the new bench at the end of Kinesswood next to the Golf club that has a nice view of Benarty.

Interesting extension on the standard up and down. Next time add West Lomond and you will be well into most of a Munro. Think we have approached the Bishop from almost every angle EXCEPT from the car park with the radio mast under East Lomond. Maybe this should be OUR next.
