Travelled by Ronald McDonald's tourist boat from Glen brittle.
This boat - licenced for 12 people had approx 30 on board for this trip.
He refused to pick us up at the end of the trip as it was "too rough out there today - boys" in spite of the flat calm sea conditions.
Had to return next day by McBraynes to Kyle via Muck and much throwing up due to rough seas.
Plootered up Hallival then across from the bealach into the Atlantic corrie to do a rock climb with Ian ( Spike ) Sykes on the w. summit rocks of Askival. ( bit disappointing, as the rock was broken up by grassy ledges.)

Ringed Manx shearwaters on Hallival at night to help the Conservancy Warden after he loaned us his Land rover to move our kit when we landed - crafty bugger !
However, Drams and sannies in the morning (out of a shop biscuit tin) were manna !
Wish I'd done the rest of the ridge then, but now it means I have to go back again to get Ainshval - braw !
