Very simple walk, follow the path to the very good main track all the way to the lodge, and then walk back again  A relatively busy route but has the bonus of being sheep-free, and the number of people meant coming across deer close to the track was unlikely so the dogs could be free. Though Zena did spot something down a ditch, pounced on it, and emerged very please with herself with....

Yup, a plastic bottle! This provided the dogs with entertainment for the last couple of kilometres to the lodge and and a short way back before they lost interest and I retrieved the bottle and put it in my Dickie Bag. Unfortunately Zena had managed to get the lid off at some point so the lid is still out there somewhere :(

The lodge looks a bit sorry for itself, probably not helped by the fact that it was raining at this point. Would be nice to see it done up a bit and put back into use and there was no getting to the bridge, it was just a little bit flooded around there

On the way back we saw a large flock of Fieldfare, first sighting of these autumn migrants this year! Didn't get any decent photos of them as they were a bit too far away though.

Some puddles on the track...

Views a bit limited, just as well I have the dogs (though could have done without Zena holding that plastic bottle!)
