Didn't feel much like walking but thought I ought to do something with the fine weather.
The pea soup I drove through looks so innocuous from a distance.
Lochan Deo.
A fine morning sky to encourage me along the track.
Target ahead.
I find the forecast of windlessness off-putting but the cool morning temperature helps.
I opted for the burnside path but staying on the track would have been easier. Still ok though, just a bit boggy in places.
The great bulk of Braeriach ahead.
Sgoran Dubh Mor looking grand.
Not sure who these belong to but my guess is Sgor Gaoith.
Sgor Gaoith summit where I took our dog Bracken for her one and only Munro.
The admittedly not very exciting route up to Carn a' Phris-ghiubhais.
The fine headwall of Coire Odhar.
A reminder of the fog to the north.
First glimpse of Loch Eanaich.
Lurcher's Crag.
Less impressive view than that further west.
A long walk is an act of will. I think I see a long walk plan forming in my head.
Lurcher's Crag again.
Meall a' Bhuachaille.
A way to Braeriach.
It is a pleasant walk along the short ridge.
From the summit cairn overlooking Rothiemirchus.
