If a hill is boring pick an exciting day

Almost a blank year 2010 but this hill, which can really only be done as a singleton, saved our blushes. Fortuitously picking out the one region where good weather obtained and that for just one day, the 29th Dec, we had a fairly uneventful yomp. Each of us took our own spot to ford the mega stream that gets such guidebook prominence. Doddle really, but we were then strung out up the non-path to the coll. First on top that day in a sedate 4 hours for a 2.50 hill we were joined quickly by bagger #2, then #3 & 4 and on the walk off by #s 5-11! I think they all beat me back to the car park

One guy was around 100 on his second round of the Munros.

Stayed 2 nights in the Ceilidh Place bunkhouse - basic & recommended - 32 quid a night. The new happening bar in Ullapool is the Arch - pool table, free celebrations on the bar and hoaching wi a busload of party animals from Lochinver.

2011 cannot be as fruitless as this year surely?
