This is a very pleasant, varied, not too strenuous walk. There is a good variation of terrain and views.Starting on the lovely wee beach at Maidens , continuing onto a cliff path with great views back along the beach. The Swan lake is a lovely surprise when you come upon it , and in our walk day the sun was shining and it was a beautiful site. Onward then to the pretty impressive Culzean Castle- the likes of which you don’t come across too often while out for a walk. The grounds are worth a good wander round too.
Unfortunately, this was the point we came a bit confused with the walk directions. We spent about half an hour walking round in circles!! Eventually we simply turned right when we came out of the castle grounds and walked back towards the walled gardens. We then went right and eventually joined the Swan Lake on the other side from where we started and then went back along the beach.
All in all tho a great walk and one you could certainly amuse the kids on.
