After a few false starts finally got Ryan onthe hills and it looked be a great day in store weatherwise .We set of quite early and were on the go for about ten past 8 and ryan started to feel the pace early on.Fair play to him though and he battled on and made the top in 3 hours. The plan was to head down over ptarmigan but another walker warned us that the drop from lomond's summit was very steep and icy so we headed back along the path a bit and kind of followed a line which picks up tom fitich on the map and got on the ptarmigan path near there. This worked out well as we managed to body sledge a good bit of the way which was a good laugh  All in all a good day for ryan and a good start to his training for his west highland way in April

Great photos. Thanks for posting - I'm heading up tomorrow and the conditions underfoot thankfully look much better than expected. :)

Cracking photo's and good report, still gutted that I could not make it.
It's good that Ryan has caught the bug and is already looking forward to his next Munro

Well done to Ryan on his 1st. I'm hoping to take my mate up on Monday, will be his 1st also, so good to see there's not as much snow as when i was last up a week or so ago :)
