A heavy dump of snow late in the season was being followed by a high pressure system so I packed my bag and set the alarm early (really early) to head up what I think could be one of the best view points in Scotland. Heading up the steep slopes, the snow was deep and progress slow but the gradient was still too steep for snow shoes. I eventually reached the summit ridge where the gradient eased and the snow shoes went on - what a difference! The views down Glencoe were magnificant and as always an enjoyable adventure was had on Beinn a Chrulaiste where the views are hard to beat - especially in this winter wonderland...
