With 4 of our first 5 hikes being Munros, we decided to try something a bit less strenuous and bag a Donald instead. We opted for King's Seat Hill - one of the Ochil peaks. The Ochil Hills are a long range of steeply sided, round topped hills, stretching 25 miles from the Firth of Tay to Stirling. The suggested route has you starting in Tillicoultry and finishing in Dollar, returning by bus. We decided, however, to make this a simple out and back from Dollar, taking in Castle Campbell along the route. Whilst the weather wasn't great (dull skies and very windy), it did at least stay dry for us.
