Brimmond Hill

With GC being a good Samaritan for our neighbours and fighting a water leak in his own house, I was destined for a solo walk with Harvey, until my elder son Donald, stepped in with a suggestion for a socially distanced family walk.

So it was a family assault on Brimmond hill with Harvey, Maria, Donald etc. What seemed on the surface, was a gentle walk up the road to the Comms masts turned out to be a slither around on the sheets of ice.
Harvey seemed to revel in it with lots of slidie skites. I should've taken my grass crampons, but they had been left in the car. We carefully plotted a route on the grass verges and bare road surface through the gates to the indicator plaque on the top.
Navigated across to the cairn avoiding the big dubs that were frozen over. There were great views from the top down to the airport at Dyce and over to Westhill in the other direction. Don picked out the Aberdeen Sentinels of Clachnaben in the S to Bennachie to the N.!
