It was a beautiful Friday, I was off work and feeling semi-decent. I decided to get out rather than hang around the house and drive Malky nuts while he was trying to work  I parked up at Silverbridge where there were quite a few other cars, and headed across the bridge. There was a lot of water in the falls!

Across the road I started climbing along the track. The colours in the trees were amazing 8)

As I climbed out of the trees I could see down the glen - and it was only going to get better!
Image

Despite going slowly, it was hot work!
Image

The gradient eased a little as I encountered some wildlife!

Little Wyvis rising ahead of me - it looked like a lot of ascent ahead

Seana Bhraigh peeking out

Loch Luichart

The track continued climbing up and before long I could look back all the way along to the radio mast at the other end of the ridge

I was making progress!

I got overtaken by a fell runner - he was making it all look far too easy

Loch Glascarnoch with An Teallach just visible behind

As I climbed up onto the end of the ridge I could see down towards Garve
Image

I finally reached the summit and could see towards Ben Wyvis looking striking in the afternoon light

Looking towards the Beauly firth and Inverness

Bit too windy for a Jaxter
Image

I thought I would carry on along the ridge to Tom na Caillich as I thought the views would be good. There was something of a path which I followed
Image

Beinn Dearg and friends
Image

In the end I decided not to continue all the way to Tom na Caillich as there was more ascent involved, so I dropped straight down to the end of the track

An Teallach coming out of the shadow behind Loch Glascarnoch

Sun hitting Seana Bhraigh

The track joined back onto my outward route which turned into a bit of a plod back down, past some very horny sheep

And a horse

Back at Silverbridge

Before heading home I had a wander down to the top of the falls which were also impressive with the amount of water around!
