Been after this circuit for a while now and with a dump of snow during the night before, I knew i was in for a cracker as soon as the sun started to come up!
Deep Snow on the Rhinns of Kells..... Not a footstep in front of me for about 6 of the 11 miles of it.... it was tough going breaking trail when the snow is still fresh powder & knee deep in places! I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day- but the views were awesome (although at times... I had zero visibility). Excellent little winter circuit though!. Wind noise is a bit poor in places, I didn’t put the wind sock on the camera (my fingers were suffering with the mega-wind chill! ).
I am missing the highlands... but the lockdown has had me out to places that I would have otherwise over overlooked in favour of heading north!
