Family walk during our week long stay at Whisky Trail Lodge in Grantown-on-Spey. Parked at Glenmore Visitor Centre. Staff member offered assistance whilst paying and looking at the map. Pointed me to the start of direct hill path for a clockwise circular as opposed to the anti-clockwise WH route.
About 1h15m to summit. Great views but followed the wrong path off as we were chatting. Realised after 10 mins or so. Decided to heather bash across the hill but this was a mistake as it was rough going and would’ve been quicker to retrace our steps. GPX file shows the little green lines we should have followed and where we rejoined.
Nice wander down the path and we had a peek inside Ryvoan bothy before having lunch on the shore at the lovely green An Lochan Uaine. Busy at the lochan and walk back to the car. Decent day for October, dry, not too cold and cloud free at Corbett level.
