The walk to Loch nam Bonnach wasintended to follow the recommended walkhighland route, but there was no where safe or suitable to park my car, and when I did approach someone about parking on a grass verge I was told with a scowl and a grunt that it was private land.

So, I drove back down the road until I found a safe grass verge to park on.

It was cloudless sky and an excellent forest road that took me to my destination.

Nordic Walking the distance meant that I covered the distance a lot quicker than had I just walked.

When I arrived at Loch nam Bonnach the scenery was idyllic and quite desolate.

I sat for a while in grateful comtemplation before returning on the route I had travelled. There were alternative routes to be explored another day.

I returned home feeling invigorated

I returned the way I had travelled
